Originally built for Coca-Cola in 1914-1915, The Western Auto Supply, Co. bought the building in 1951.
The iconic sign was built one year later.
Kansas City grew around it − a symbol of home to many.
The sign went dark in 2000.
May 2018, it was announced the sign would rejoin the glow of the Kansas City skyline. Long-time residents could not wait.
And glow it did.
A chance to enjoy it once again...
...and an opportunity to create new memories.
